Convenience: Once on site and in place, setup is usually adding the grill and appliances to the pre-built island. After connecting your gas (and electrical), you’re up and running.

Cons of Pre-Assembled BBQ Islands
Design limitations: If you have a unique space or have a very specific vision for your outdoor kitchen, pre-assembled BBQ Islands may not be your best option. Their designs are pre-determined and in most cases, cannot be altered.
Delivery:If your backyard space doesn’t allow for larger items (think multiple stairs or limited access due to fencing, etc), you may have get creative to get your pre-assembled outdoor kitchen to your preferred space. We’ve seen all kinds of deliveries, including rigging and craning islands up and over the home!*
Grill Preferences:If you love a design from one manufacturer but really want a grill from another manufacturer, you will be out of luck! You can’t go into McDonalds and ask for a Whopper with Cheese. Pre-assembled island manufacturers will only allow you to use their grills with their islands. If your favorite grill manufacturer doesn't build outdoor kitchen islands, you may need to look at either a DIY or custom island solution.
